Time for Change is NOW Townhall Series

The Broome County Urban League hosts a 5 part Town Hall series. Larry Parham is the moderator.
The meetings are recorded at On Point Productions, the home of WJOB FM, an Urban League licensed non-profit radio station in the Southern Tier.

The first installment of a 5 part Town Hall series.
The panel addresses Systemic Racism, Generation Z and community activism amongst area college students of Binghamton, NY.

The second installment of a 5 part Town Hall series.
This installement xplores the intersection of race with community leaders of faith. This exploratory conversation is enlightening. It offers great understanding and reflection on the tenants of faith and how they can provide a path forward in a country torn by racism.

We have moved our administrative offices to 88 Main Street, Binghamton, NY! Our offices are open and programs are up and running. We look forward to serving the community from our new location.

November 2019: Holiday Sip and Shop

Join us for Holiday Shopping from local craftsman and artisans on November 9th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Spotlight Restaurant and Lounge, downtown Binghamton. There will be everything from beautiful art, candles, accessories for the home, jewelry and of course holiday decor! Gifts for everyone!


October 2019: BASKETBALL Binghamton PD vs. FD Fundraiser GAME

Join us in watching the Binghamton City Police Dept and Fire Dept battle it out on the court! On Saturday, October 26th, starting at 11:30am, we will be in the Binghamton City Highschool Gym. The court opens up to the Fire and Police Departments to show us their stuff. At Halftime there will be raffles and 50/50 being drawn. All proceeds will benefit the Broome County Urban League Afterschool Program.


October 2019: FALL FESTIVAL

Welcome all Afterschool Program families to our 2019 Fall Festival. On October 31st during Program hours Families of participating children are invited to attend, from 4pm to 6pm, an evening of games, snacks, crafts, face painting, and more fun! Children are welcome to bring costumes to wear during the Festival.


July 2019: Broome County Urban League Annual Dinner

Annual Dinner - Summer in the South

Thank you to all supporters and attendees for joining us for a Summer evening under the big tent at Traditions of the Glen for our Annual Dinner. The Broome County Urban League presented three honorifics for their service to our community, Dorothea Cornwell, Theo Felton, and Ruth Ann Koffman.


April 2019: Spring PopUp Shop

Just in time for EASTER!!

The Broome County Urban League is hosting a Spring PopUp Shop featuring some of the areas best handmade and curated goods. We've pulled together vendors featuring gifts made to pamper, decadent treats, basket goodies, and lavish apparel!

Join us at Spotlight Restaurant on 73 Court Street, Binghamton from 11am - 3pm. There will be a special luncheon menu available during this event


March 2019: Art From Our Heart, Afterschool Program Art Exhibit

The Broome County Urban League After-School Enrichment Program (A.S.E.P.) presented our "ART FROM OUR HEART" art exhibition. The families and community members were able to enjoy all the artistic works the A.S.E.P. children created. Congratulations to all the kids!


January 2019: A Night with Phil Jordan

Phil Jordan provided an entertaining evening for all those in attendance for our Phil Jordan fundraising event. In this intimate gathering psychic readings were given to many of the diners and much was revealed.

We would like to thank all those who attended.


Thursday, August 30th 2018, the Broome County Urban League and three other non-profit organizations gathered together to volunteer at the 17th Annual Jim 'Mudcat' Grant All-Star Golf Tournament at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, NY. Through the generous support of sponsors such as Security Mutual, proceeds from this event benefit the four non-profits. The weather could not have been better and everyone was in great spirits. We were honored to participate once again in this event. We look forward to it every year.
