The mission of the Broome County Urban League is to enable minorities and the urban poor in securing economic self-reliance, parity and power.

Pursuing the Mission

Help adults attain economic self-sufficiency through good jobs, educational opportunity, youth development and resource assistance. Ensure that our children are well educated and equipped for economic self-reliance. Ensure our civil rights by eradicating all barriers to equal participation in the economic and social mainstream of America.


Afterschool Enrichment Program

Enrollment for the in-person Afterschool Program is OPEN!

We are very excited to offer our In-Person programming once again. We look forward to being with you all again!!
Please call 607-723-7303 x.104 or Download the form HERE to fill out and mail in with the first months payment, $100.00. Remember, if your child is OPWDD eligible the Program is FREE of charge.
Program runs Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm. Homework help, snacks, healthy lifestyle activities, and fun games are provided to help your child succeed!

Time for Change is NOW Townhall Series

The Broome County Urban League hosts a 5 part Town Hall series. Larry Parham is the moderator.
The meetings are recorded at On Point Productions, the home of WJOB FM, an Urban League licensed non-profit radio station in the Southern Tier.

The first installment of a 5 part Town Hall series.
The panel addresses Systemic Racism, Generation Z and community activism amongst area college students of Binghamton, NY.

The second installment of a 5 part Town Hall series.
This installement xplores the intersection of race with community leaders of faith. This exploratory conversation is enlightening. It offers great understanding and reflection on the tenants of faith and how they can provide a path forward in a country torn by racism.
